The Mega Maxx is 4wd. But... I will soon be looking at a few other trucks to see if they can be converted. (LST, Monster GT, ... ) I will put the Lightning on my list.

As far as engines go... Shindaiwa and Echo are both made by Zenoah. So is the Toro Engine I have in the Mega. (25cc "Stratocharged" ) The small 19cc engine is a Mitsubishi, and it is VERY compact. I don't think that Zenoah makes anything of that size any more... so because of that... money isn't even a factor if you want to try an build a Maxx Gasser. You need a small engine. Now, on the Mega... I'm fitting a normal RC23 type of Zenoah to a new chassis. ($300) But to be honest... the $150 echo weed eater engines, are just as good as the "Hobby Grade" engines.
