Default elevator linkage for removable tailplane

dear all,

how do those of you with removable tailplanes that actually get removed on a regular basis, connect your elevator linkages? My preferred linkage method is the MK splitter with ball-raced clevises on either end of the external pushrods, and with my current model I do not remove the tailplane and the linkages are all nice and secure and locked in place with locktight on all the nuts.

It seems to me that fitting and removing these nuts each session is going to quickly lead to excessive wear, and lead to a significant increase in the likelyhood of a linkage failing. On my next model I would like if possible to have the tailplane properly removable for ease of transport and storage so would be interested to hear how other people have got around this problem.

I don't want to start a deps/mk splitter/2 servo type debate, just a few tips or experiences on the repeated removal/fitting of clevises etc which must be a common issue on many if not all linkage methods.

cheers,

James
