Dave,,
have you tried the speedbrakes ?
No, Strykass....the flying wing slows down nicely being so thick. I flipped them on
after I had touched down on the second flight, but the wind was picking up, and
I couldn't tell much about how the plane slowed with the air brakes on.
The engine is still not happy for some reason. I has a 13-7 Zinger on it. The
manual only calls for a 12-6....yes that is correct, a 12-6. [X(]
That's a .60 engine prop....and it's only turning 10,800 on the 13-7.
So much for "90 size power in a .60 size case". [:-] I put a 12-7 Zinger on it.
My .60 size OS RF turns the 12-8 Zinger at 11,400....giving about the same
power as the .91 ASP. The OS, of course, is a long stroke....and runs on 15%
nitro. I'll give the 12-7 a try, it looks small on the plane.
You can tell the ASP is just not "on song" in flight. I think it has too much
compression....you should have heard it detonating on 15% fuel. [X(]
Any thoughts on that Strykass ?
Dave.
