Default RE: The future of MAAC Nats

[sm=confused.gif]

Does anyone have a Ken interpreter handy?

Please ... all who are reading this thread, and the other one linked to on RCCanda, do not judge the Nationals by the rantings of the few who continue to butt heads.

Further, I think Ken's off on his numbers. I can believe that Gimli had more participants than the scale discipline at the Nationals but I doubt it matched the overall number of participants for all disciplines at the Nationals, or even Scale Aerobatics alone ... based on numbers for Gimli already posted on this site and numbers for Nats registration for all events (that didn't include those who registered on-site). I'll leave the actual number comparison to those who care. My apples vs. oranges analogy also stands so why insist on comparing?

For once I must agreee with Marc, why should "those who do not compete" even care if in fact, the event ran at no cost to MAAC?

What really saddens me is not the petty bickering of a few who disagree on how a competition should be run, but those rabid scavengers who immediately pounce on any sign of negative public relations in an attempt to discredit or discount event.[:@][:@][:@]
