Default RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

I've had my #35 do that on a few occasions as well.. a sudden freeze of the controls, sometimes just after a unexpected change, for about 1 or 2 seconds then it recovers. This resulted in a crash once and a few scary moments on other occasions .

I wonder if the Walkera Tx might use a non-standard transmit encoding system ? I tried to get the Tx to talk to another micro-Rx I had on the same band with no success. It may just have been incompatible crystals, but I wonder if the walkera Tx is putting out a standard signal or not. If they use their own digital transmission system, that might explain the PCM-like 1 second drop-outs in communication -

Has anyone else got a Walkera Tx to talk with a different Rx ?

Or it could be a momentary voltage regulator shutdown from overheating like art103 suggested ?

In any case, I'm now building a #39 (The Walkera T-Rex clone) with a Futaba radio, Align ESC and Brushless, and HiTec servo's, that should solve any radio issues..
