Your's truely helping the builder/owner, John Pirozek, carry back the spit after an anscheduled landing. (Spinner let go around 100' while half-way down wind making me busy for a moment) Got it back in one piece with some superficial damage to the bottom of the wing. However, with no engine cut-off, the half a prop left after eating the spinner shook the firewall about 50% out of the main bulkhead.
The Jet pictured on take-off, built and piloted by Todd Shubla had an on-board telemetry system to measure speed and topped out at 392kpm. ..... a bullet.
The pits climbing above the clouds was 1/3 scale and 3D'd by Dennis Ward who is a heck of show-pilot.
