I noticed kind of the same thing when i first got my Walkera #36 but then I realize that the 2 position switch on the top right on the TX was on the low position or 3D, it has to be on the up position for it the throttle to start smoothly (normal CP flight), I think it was designed so if you are in mid flight you can hit the switch sending the throttle to full instantly and be able to to fly inverted and do 3-D stunts.
