Thou shalt remember the "Three Commandments" of Sucessful Gas Flying:
1) Thou shalt use a plastic pushrod for thine engine throttle.
2) Thou shalt keepeth thine kill switch on the firewall.
3) Thou shalt keepeth all thine radio equipment, including switches and batteries, 10" or more from the firewall.
Keepeth these commandments, lest thy noisy spark ignition engine causes the ground to rise up and smote your airframe mightily!
Seriously, I have never had a problem by following these three simple rules. I'm sure many don't obeserve any of them and fly with no problems, but why take chances....
