Default post crash options/questions

i'm the guy who old mill was posting about losing a plane in the swamp well we found it tonight - it's an airvista from hobbico and while both wings were shredded, the fuse, engine and radio components are intact.

my question is whether/how i should go about repairing it. the model in question is discontinued and i can only find one wing panel at the mail order houses like tower, etc. could i just get a wing from something like an avistar and use that? the crash notwithstanding (i think i flew out of range in the dark), i was getting pretty bored with the super stable charisteristics of the airvista airfoil. i was thinking this might be a good opportunity the move to something slightly more aerodynamic. having said that i see that i can get the avistar at tower for like $85 - basically the price of replacement wings. would i be better just getting that and taking the guts out of the airvista or sticking with what i have and trying to find a wing somewhere?

the other caveat is that i just bought a tower .46 engine to replace the wimpy the .40la i have now in order to be able to fly it off the snow this winter with floats.

any advice is greatly appreciated.
