Not a stupid question at all! I was kind of curious too, and this is what I came up with:
Yamada Manufacturing Co. , founded by Shoji Yamada. (YS engines)
(What the "Y" and the "S" actually stand for is just my guess)
As far as fuel, just fuel with the suggested(by the manufacturer) mix of nitromethane and oil specifically for YS engines.
