FenceMagnet has pointed out that these chips are are for Kettering type ignition circuits, assuming that he is correct (I didn't check myself) have you decided whether or not you plan on removing the flywheels for your ignition conversions. I think that most engines will run smoother with their flywheels than without them, even with their weight of about 8 ounces.

An ignition design that uses the flywheel's built in magnet and possibly can add a bit of electronic wizardry for ignition retard/advance to enhance low and high RPM operation would be attractive in its own right as an economic ignition system for these gas engine conversions. I am interested in following this thread myself. What do you think about my comments? Anyone else with comments.
