Well I'm finally starting to get into putting this model together. I polished all three bare aluminum tubes and anodized them black. I also brushed finished the landing gear and anodized it black. Everything came out looking great.

I figured I finish off the landing gear by mounting the wheel pants and mounting the gear to the airframe. I already had pre-fit the landing gear to the airframe before I had it anodized. Thankfully I had not glued the wood mounts into the pants yet. The pilot dots on the wheel pants match the holes drilled in the landing gear but the holes in the wood mounts are so far off it looks like a blind man drilled the holes. The two lower holes on both wood mounts are way off, he must have been blind in both eyes. I had already glued the blind nut in the holes and when I tried to remove them....... well lets say I'll have to make two new ones. At least the holes will be drilled correctly.

I have almost finished the canopy. I have trimmed and shaped the clear plastic, and put in blocks behind the fifty #2 wood screws I used . I changed the black interior to stone gray and I have not decided if I’m going to put in a pilot and dash. I'll post some picks of the tubes, landing gear, and canopy in a day or two.
