Had to cut an opening in the left side of the cowl for the spark plug on the ZDZ. I think a DA would fit more cleanly due to the angled spark plug. As much as I like ZDZ, if I had to do this again, I'd go DA.
I hate quoting myself, but I take that back after weighing my plane. The DA100 weighs more than a pound (1.1lbs) heavier than the ZDZ100. I would gladly trade a small spark plug hole in the pretty cowl for a pound of savings!!!
Now I'm having second thoughts about putting my DA100 in the new Extra I ordered... oh, well guess that's why God made carbon fiber and LiPos.
