Default RE: Question I would like answered by people who are not sponsored....

That rookie is the baddest ass looking plane Ive seen in a long time.
thanks man ... unfortunately this one did not fly too well with the way i had the mixing set up between elevator, rudder, canards and 4 way thrust vectoring ..... it was smoot at high speed, but even then on a wide open p120 it was not as fast as one might expect, the BobCat is a lot faster .... My 2nd rookie which i built stock also was not as fast and manouverable as per my expectations and was a bit mushy ... it now has been turned into part of the store sign at my friend's hobby shop ... definately was not a keeper ..

also, as for the 3d capabilities of the rookie, they are not like to be compared to that of a heli. I fly helis as well (also fly them pretty hard) and the rookies "3d " capability is slugish, and slow, and beyond that pretty random ( like inducing flips and spins with the thrust vectoring) .. whereas a heli can be quick, agile, and precise at the same time ...

My personal preference with jets it #1 fast, and tight feeling, with on the rails tracking, and a sharp hard turn diameter .. the BobCat is the best plane in this category i have flown so far ( im saying that having flown 2 bandits, ... then again, i won't fly someone elses plane like i do mine, so i guess that might not be a correct comparison .... ) #2, i like big heavy (metal) scale jets that lumber around on landing aproach, i think that just looks so good, especially watching the plow through the air ...
