A sensor works at way more rpm than any engine will turn...A sensor is bad if it doesn't work when turning the shaft slowly past TDC..The strength of the spark has nothing to do with the sensor, or the rpm.....(Within reason)..
If the sensor has moved away from the magnet more than 1/16"
it won't work properly...
