Hi Guys,
Gee, and all this only one day after we get the AJ/TJT 3000 AMA approved.
Just to clarify for you all, the production engine, manufactured by us that has been approved is the AJ/TJT 3000 Eagle, the specs for this engine are available on our web site
www.tjt.bz
It is our intention, once we find out exactly what the ruling is, to have this engine approved as a kit engine.
I believe that at this time, for an engine to be approved as a kit engine, it must first be approved as a production engine, and that there are certain limitations placed on the kit version by the AMA, such as a limited max rpm.
I also understand that a home built engine falls into yet a different catagory.
AJ/TJT have complied with the AMA rulings for approval for the AJ/TJT 3000 Eagle as a production engine, at this stage that is all.
If a customer chooses to buy and build a kit version of the engine then he/she must comply with the AMA rullings on kit engines.
BRG,
Chris at TJT.
