Default RE: Showtime engine and servos?

ORIGINAL: dick Hanson

I use one pack- a 900ma KANN NIMH . (4 ozs)
The plane uses aprox 200 ma per flight -which I replenish using a EFlight Pinnacle Charger - It displays the amps used .
The 9411/SA-exactly same servos except for gears
Instructions do not recommed it -but the 811 servos will also work-
The caveat is that you should back off the throws off the surfaces somewhat .
Personally I have used these servos in very similar setups with no problems whatsoever
I use the LiPos only in my electric planes.
.
I noticed on this thread that you are flying the Showtime on a Saito 100 with JR 9411 SA servos. I was wondering how this was working out for you as that is the same setup I am planning on. Specifically I'm concerned about the following:

Available power for 3D. For example, can it punch out of a hover? Can it waterfall?

Nylon gear servos. I know they aren't recommended for the Showtime, but I used these on a 28% Staudacher (13.5 lb., 40cc gas) and never even had a stripped gear. The difference however is that that plane was set up striclty for pattern so had short servo arms and overall had very good mechanical advantage. I guess if the nylon gears will be a concern on the Showtime I can install the metal gears but they are pricey.
That's pretty much my concerns. Any additional info you can provide on overall flying capabilities - strengths and weaknesses of this airplane are also most welcome.

Thanks Very much.
