What I am after is real, measured temperatures with a real engine.
Go to
http://www.modeltechnics.com/glowplug/firepower.html and you'll find a considerable number of tests done on many engines. Compare the charts for the same engine on different fuels and there's not too much difference in head temperatures. The temp probe was fitted in a hole drilled to within .020" of the combustion chamber (if you don't want to read the fine print
