Default RE: U Can Do 3D

Gary and all,
It flies!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took it to the Iowa City club and had a highly recommended pilot help me.
Couldn't have been a more level headed choice.
He took it up and trimmed it, checked it out and landed it.
We topped it off and I took it off with no intention of landing it.
What a ***** cat!
I remember from the late '80s a model called The Hots.
People would set them up so extreme that they would think their radio was getting hit when in fact the were experiencing accelerated stalls. I figured these 3D planes would be the same.
I was wrong!
I set it up with the conservative throws and had no problem with it.
I went ahead and landed it my first flight.
I had to abort the first approach because it floated so dang far!
It needs some flight trimming...some aileron differential and move the CG back some but overall I am very satisfied.
I am also very satisfied with the 9C.
Very easy radio to understand.
The only negative are the wheel pants.
The guy helping me made an excellent landing and my landing was pretty good.
But...one of the wheel pants had a crack, not thru and thru but a crack, on the bottom from the wheel opening to near the rear tip of the pant.
Don't know how long these will stand up.
So...
Thanks everyone for all the support.
My re-entry to the hobby so far is great!!!!!!!!!!!
