The 555 did work in the model, but it glitched heavily. Even during range check. I moved the 555 around quite a bit, with no change in range. I even hooked up a second 555 outside of the model, with only marginal positive results. Once I switched to the electron 6, the improvement was staggering. The range checks were performed with the motor off, and at half throttle (electric brushless). The transmitters used were T6XAS (ch 43) and T9CAP (ch 60), with stock crystals and stock modules. Oh, one thing I noticed was that the 555 antenna was a smaller wire than the electron 6, and it looked shorter for some reason... [sm=confused.gif] Is the 555 a lesser reciever than the electron 6? Some kind of change in circuitry made it better? BTW, would you recommend an OPTO isolator in between the ESC and the reciever? (Just hit me).
