America has to recognize that it is only one world and that all climatic changes are also effected by this extensive use of Oil, gas and generating CO².
<snip>
Please don't misunderstand my posting, its not to blame anybody and again I feel really sorry for all who are affected, but do pressure to your government to rethink about americas environment politic as it will affect everybody on the world in short term.
Ah yes .. generating CO2 ... don't humans do that when they exhale ? In which case we'd have a whole lot less CO2 if you guys could pressure your fellow German - the pope - to drop this whole anti-contraception stance that contributes so substantially to unintended overpopulation ! i.e. we can always find ways of blaming each other for global warming, so before people start throwing stones, they should perhaps consider whether they may be living in a glass house.

YMMV, which is fine.

Well, I've been holding off contributing for a day or two, 'til my company got organized enough to set up a "matching contribution" deal (They'll double-up whatever I contribute through the company) ... and they just announced that it's now active - so it's time for me to go put a chunk of money where my big mouth is.

Later,
Gordon

PS: in the weeks after the tsunami, the US and European countries got heavily criticized by various Muslim countries who alledged that we were being "miserly only because the majority of victims were muslim" (even though we actually gave a krap-load more money than any of the oil-rich muslim countries ever did)... so I'm kinda curious to know - amid the various countries offering help to the US right now, what has been offered to the Katina victims by those muslim countries ? (That's not a rhetorical question BTW - I'd genuinely like to know the answer)
