Don't worry about the CA hinges. I had well over 250 flights on my first S.E. and never had a hinge fail. As for the canopy, a little trick for that is to drill your holes for the screws and glue some nyrod into the fuse. This gives the screws something to bite into and you don't have to worry about the balsa wallowing out.
