Hi Davidtkal, good to see your post, was wondering what you were up to

Yes I have the eyecam extreme and I am happy with its performance and function. I'm certainly not aiming for professional or perfect video, it's just for fun for me, so I was looking for decent resolution and reduction in vibration effects. I have not had near the problem with wireless interference that I had with the original eyecam from RCToys. I had experimented with several of the cheapie eBay wireless 2.4 cams and all were (in my opinion) junk with very poor quality and quite limited range. The extreme cam I have now has not had any range problems as far out as I flown but I don't go THAT far (not on purpose, anyway

). I came up with the velcro mount I posted another set of pictures on the previous page. The video I posted there was from a while ago in my back yard and you can tell that the vast majority of vibration artifact was gone, mainly showed up with strong acceleration as in correcting a too-fast descent. The velcro is very sturdy and secure, and I used a wide strip which in retrospect is probably way more than I need and probably I can refine this velcro down to a 3/8" or 1/2" strip and get even less vibration. I really like your mount, lots of work there obviously, and the isolation is apparent from the video. How does that work with being mounted below your vertical risers? Do you have a takeoff platform you use or hand launch? I assume landing you find a soft spot and the camera is going to hit the ground every flight? Just wondered how that worked. My velcro setup does not lower the camera to below the landing surface, which was of concern to me with what the freakin eyecam extreme costs [X(]. Anyway good to see your post, hope you get your parts soon (yeh I know the famous RCToys help line response: absolutely, sir, it's in the mail, you should get that any second now...)
