As far as radios go, I think you mentioned already having JR equipment. If you can find one of the promotional 8103 packages, you'd probably really like it. I got the Tx, and flight pack w/4 811 digital servos from Chief Aircraft last year (don't remember the exact price - ~ $350-$400) It would be compatible with all of your existing gear and will do just about anything you could ask it to. And I personally love the ergonomics of it. BUt I hear that JR is discontinuing it in favor of the 9303. Barring that, you would probably do well with the 6102.
