SUPER JET WEEK Correction
Super Jet week Correction
Yesterday morning in my haste to inform people involved with plans for attending Super Jet Week of the cancellation notice, I misspoke. This is the message I was trying to convey.
Due to the actions of a few Jet modelers, during the previous months, the FAA has been backed into a corner. They in turn rendered a decision to disapprove Three Jet Events that were asking to be held on single runway, federally obligated airports. Super Jet Week being one of them. I did not mean RCU was responsible for Super Jet being canceled, this course of action was taken by the FAA. However, During this sensitive time some of the internet threads being conducted by a few "experts", on a subject for which they weren't completely informed of, only added fuel to the fire and did nothing to help diffuse the situation. Silence would have been golden while the parties involved were trying to handle the issues .
Also, I want to sincerely thank the Georgia Jet gang and the Winamac club for stepping up to the plate and holding alternate events to help cover the loss of Super Jet week. That is a major undertaking in such a short amount of time.
I regret that I was not articulate enough to convey my message on 09/14 clearly.
