dougwill...no, the UCD should not require a lot of down elevator to fly inverted. Maybe just a slight movement on the down stick or even none at all. I don't know what you mean about the alireron adjustment!?!?!? To me it means your CG is not quite far enough back. You can set it anywhere between 4 and 6 inches and still land fine. Mine is at about 5 5/8". I have to give slight down elevator to maintain level flight when I'm upside down.
I use Cool Power 30% in all my engines. The Saitos and YS really thrive on it. No it will not hurt them. In fact the Heli mix I use has 22% oil vs. 18% on regular mix. This actually helps in engine wear. You'll notice a marked difference in power. That little baby will really come alive. I think I get longer run times with 30% also. So even though it's a little more money you don't use it quite as fast. In effect this is what Gjeffers is doing by adding a little castrol oil. Better luberication. I would use the 30%. That's the only way you'll get full performance out of your UCD with an 80.
Keep flying that thing. The fun is just beginning.
Thanks
