Those mufflers were a real pain. I bought a mig welder and learned how to weld with it. Then I put aluminum wire in it and started all over again. I don't know if they will hold up until I use them a bit. The only way I could ever weld the aluminum was to pull the trigger and hold for about two seconds then quit. Then I would back up and overlap the next short weld on that one. This was repeated until I got all the way around the muffler. What was really bad, was that there are four mufflers on the B-17. I don't think I'm going to make any more.
