Default RE: Indestructible Trainer

I want to join a club, but it will be a while. A club is not expensive to keep up with the yearly fee, but to get into a club is expensive at least down here. Before I fly I will be in a club so dont worry. There is nowhere to fly unless you use the club field. But before I think about that I need a plane first. I have access to a simulator and have been using that with my transmitter to learn the basics. If I had access to an electric plane then an instructor and a field/club would not be as much of a problem since electrics are less complicated and can fly in smaller area (less complicated as in no fuel engine to start). I know a sim wont teach me everything, but its good practice. After I pick out a trainer I will get join a club and get an intructor or at least someone willing to show me the ropes. Since the plane I get will have to last for quite some time I want something as durable as they make. I have never owned a plane so I dont know how hard balsa is to fix. Or how costly it is to fix. Right now money is something I have to think about, but hopefully soon it will not be. I have already decided if I go balsa the Tower Trainer is my choice. I just want to weight all my options. The good and bad to see what best fits me.
