First of all one of the most sturdy planes out there is the SIG LT-40 which fits your needs perfectly. They take a good beating but do need just one mod. It's best to replace the main gear with a better style, like the dubro fiberglass or H9 aluminum set. Once you are done with training allot of people convert them to taildragger, add bomb drops to drop candy for the kids, tow gliders and a host of other things. Toss an OS46AX in it from the start and when you are done training put on an APC 12.25X3.37 and the plane will really come alive. I'[ve even hovered a LT-40 with the taildragger setup and this prop/engine combo plus increasing the throws. It will have only for 30 seconds or so but it will do it and is plenty aerobatic

If you already have a club membership, also try asking them. If they are going to train you then you also want to make sure you have radio gear that's compatible with their buddy boxes if they use themif you have not already done this part.
