RE: CA models Funky .40
CA models produce a very fine product. They are easy to build and very strong for the weight. Either engine will be fine. The OS does come with a muffler so you won't have that choice to make. Any standard muffler would be fine with the Webra. I would avoid a tuned muffler unless it is specifically designed for 3D use. For this size plane I use Hitec 425 double BB servos. They are inexpensive and last quite well in this type / size plane. For larger planes I uese the Hitec 545 and in gas planes either the JR 8411's or 8611's dependant on size. As your first sport plane what do you want do accomplish? Better general aerobatics or get into 3D flying? If 3D is your thing then selecting an OS 70 4~stroke may be a better choice for low end tork. Program your radio for flapperons using separate aileron servos if you have the radio for this. It will allow some really tight loops and slow flight. I like to set the landing mode with spoilerons for really slow flight and harriers. Remember to turn this off if you need to do a go around. Good luck!
If this is your first plane out of a trainer then keep the control throws at a minimum and use a good bit of exponential. Set up for 3D this plane is capable of several rolls in just one second!
