Default RE: Which Shockflyer

ok buddy, this subject i know tons!!!! the f3a and yak fly just about the same!! the only diffrence is the f3a flys like a pattern plane they will both 3-d the same and the other diffrence is which one you like the best!!! i have had both. on your motor selection, i have the 2204/54 besure you keep the plane around 7 ounces no heavier than 7.5 ounces. i had a shocky that came out at 8 ounces and it flew like a pig but i got one using the 2204/54 at 6.25 ounes and it fle2w great!!! i have used several packs a 3cell 520mah pack, it has planty of power and you will get 7 good minutes of 3-d flying!!! i also use a 3 cell 700 mah e-tec pack it has alittle more power than the tanic and about 2 minutes more of time 3-ding!!!! the tanic weighs just a hair over 1 ounce and the e-tec about 1.3 ounces!!! either one will be a great choice!!!! if you want a good servo to use, use the Blue Bird 303's they only weigh 3.6 grams!!!! and have 10 ounces of tourgue!!! i used two 303's on rudder and elevator and if i wanted to use one ailron servo i used a BB 306 and if i wanted to use 2 i used two 303's and either wa i used a gws pico 4 channel receiver. i make my own y-harness's so they will be light and not too much wire!!! if you try these set-ups you will be more than happy and you will have a very light geat flying shocky!!!! i've had the F3A, Yak, Nemesis, pitts, Edge540, Extra and super star shockys!!! my favorite is a hard choice between the f3a and the edge540, even though the edge is older and doesn't have the 45degree peice on the x brace it still is a great plane!!!
if you need anymore help feel free to emial me!!!
