Default RE: The best economic 40 size 2 stroke engine for 3d!!

Wow thats awsome, iv never heard of any brand motor lasting that long.
Only reason i said the OS will out run is i had a buddy eat his TT pro alive in one summer while his AX was flown just as much and is still ticking hard.
Just my observation.

"i know the OS will have a longer life span"

I have a TT 46 Pro that I flew over six years on a Morris the Knife. Over it's intire life it has been run on 30% heli fuel. While on the Morris it was run on a 10X5 APC and tached 15200 on the ground. The only thing that was done to it during that period was to replace the O-rings on the idle needle, when it quit in flight on two consecutive flights I knew something was wrong as it one of the best idling engines I've ever owed. Two years ago I removed it from the Morris and put it in a Lanier Mariner 40 seaplane. With a 10x7 on it the 46 Pro pulls the Mariner, which is a fairly large airplane, with authority, at least as well as a friends 40 size seaplane with an OS 46 on it. I've never has an OS last any better that that. Today I'm going to a nearby clubs float fly with my eight year old Pro 46 on my Mariner, I expect it will run just as well as it has the last eight years.
