Default RE: 1.60 carb mod project

If you can get hold of them, the following set up works very well:
OS RFP carb type 86
RFP or Hanno special or OS 140 pump glued in standard 160 backplate(grind away some of the rib stiffeners)
Ordinary bathroom silicone sealant works fine as the adhesive.
0S or YS 4 stroke plug.
Decompress by 35-40 thou head shims.
Hatori 907 manifold
Aeroslave c/f pipe at Aeroslave recommended length.
Fuel 10% nitro,15-18% oil.
This will give around 8400rpm on an APC 17*12,much the same on the 15.5*12 4/blade,or 8200-8300 on the Engel 18*11 carbon prop.Idle can be 1600 or less with complete reliability, with a very good, progressive, transition, and complete consistency over many flights.
P.S. Almost forgot---drill a little hole in the 160 backplate to provide crankcase pressure to the pump.
