I would NEVER abbreviate words for customer service letters. Spelled wrong is OK, but using y for "why" on purpose?

No, you deal with it, they will help you gain product satisfaction, that sounded like you were begging. And now they know you are just a kid, they will help you even less.
On the topic of leaking batteries, I had some NIMH batteries leak in my 2PL. They probably lasted over 20 charge cycles. I just used it at the track, brought it home and opened it up and it was melted, they were really hot too.
A few survived the heat and I still use them.
