Default FADEC Hall sensor troubles...

Hi all,

I've got an interesting problem and I was wondering if anybody has come across this before.

My FACED ECO was slightly singed in a crash (see pictures - sorry for the quality, phone cam). Of course all the wires were burned. The hall sensor was pretty much ripped out too.

I've reconnected the wires and was pleasently surprised to see that it still worked. Better than that, it still had all the data and setup which meant that the electronics stood up to the heat very well. This is one tough unit .

I've also rebuilt my WREN with a spanking new MK3 compressor and aluminum inlet. It workes fine now except that the rpm reading is not working properly.

Up to 50-60Krpm the reading was ok. After that it kinda went haywire... Anywhere between 100-250krpm! (I'm quite sure I was never near 250!)

I've jakced up the sensor and got better results. It's fine up to 100krpm.

I'm stumped. Is it the inlet? The sensor? The electronics? The magnets? Something else?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
