I'm putting the Seagull Decathlon together right now.
RX--Hitec 555
Switch--Hobbico Heavy Duty
Battery--Hydrimax 1650mah 6V
Engine--TH .75 mounted sideways with Bisson pitts muffler--yeah, it'll stick out of the cowl a
teeny bit
Plane specs:
68" wing
760sq. in.
7--8 pounds RTF
I won a bunch of Hitec servos in a big raffle, so I'm gonna use them. As much as I've cussed the 6XX Hitecs in the past, and sworn off their servos, I can't help but use these 4XX servos in the plane I've got.
I've got:
12 Hitec 475BB
10 Hitec 425BB
6 Hitec HS81
The plane is setup for dual elevator servos and dual ailerons servos. Single rudder and throttle servos.
I'm going to mount an HS81 to my engine mount and run a short 3" rod to the throttle arm.
But, I'm unsure what servos to use for the rest of it.
I thought that a 475BB would be a wise choice for the rudder. It's going to be pushing 75oz at 6V.
What do you think? 425BB in the ailerons and 475BB on the elevators and rudder? Or just use either servo on the entire plane and forget about it?
Thanks
If these servos work--we might just have a convert/turncoat on our hands folks[X(]
