Default G2 and new Nvidia Detonator drivers

I posted this last week. Hope it helps.

On 9/29/02 I upgraded my system's video card from a Geforce2MX 200 to a Geforce 4 Ti4200. In doing so, Realflight ceased loading completely. I got the error 'Realfight. TMP0.exe has generated errors. Windows is generating a log file'. I tried many suggestions from this and other forums without success. Greatplanes technical support suggested upgraded my G2 to G2 interlink in an effor to solve my problem.

After much patient struggle, Alex with Greatplanes technical support, suggested that I use his realflight.INI file. After getting it, we made changes to the section called [Direct 3D] one value at a time. When we changed the setting called 'UseHardwareVertexProcesing=Yes' to 'UseHardwareVertexProcesing=No' the problem went away.

I then tested all versions of the video driver with this new setting and G2 works great with the latest version of Nvidida's drivers. My purpose for this post is to share this titbit incase this is what is causing similar errors with the Nvidia based Geforce cards. Hope this helps.

P.S. Here is my system config:

Abit KT7A ver 1.2
AMD 1.3G CPU (Thunderbird)
512 MB RAM (PC133 ****M)
2x40GB HD
Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer 5.1
12X DVD ROM drive
1.44 FD
SIIG 4port 1394 card
10/100 Mb NIC
Windows 2000 SP3
G2 2.00.570 interlink
