Default RE: Battery problem.

someone before asked, why use rechargable alkaline?

I use grandcell rechargeable alkalines in my reciever on my nitro car becasue each AA battery has a voltage of 1.5. Any AA NiMH or NICd will only have a voltage of 1.2, 4 battery's add's up to 4.8 volts, whereas 4 re-alk batts adds up to 6. Most recievers like 6 volts, and my fail safe cuts in at 4.2 volts. So thats why.

Also the grandcell batts have NO memory effect, so if i've only used them for a little while that day, i can charge them back up, withtout any worries.

also, the charger that came with my battery's is a dual charger, so u can charge NiMH with it too, it has a little select switchtingo, Just thought i'd add that. The charger and 4 battery's only cost me $25 AUD and I've used them for months without any hassles
