Default RE: Skyshark Christen Eagle

Rick,
I did get the Eagle in the air this weekend. Very mixed on the flying. First needed alot of down trim, my top wing was +2% vs the +1 that the instructions say is built in but I couldnt get it down to +1. With the ZDZ 40 the plane was by no means overpowered, frankly it could us a 60, the uplines were terrible, the temp was a friendly 60 deg but I fly at 4500 ft ele so that needs to be considered. Very slow roll rate for a Bip at the recomended high rates. Take-off tracked straight with very little right rudder, landings pretty easy considering the aircraft type. Pretty plane but way below my expectations in flight performance. My plan is to put alittle more down angle on the engine in the hopes of cancelling out the down trim in the ele. also experiment with different props to see if I can get better performance. Based on the time and head aches it took to set up/assemble this plane plus the current below average flight performance, at this time I wouldnt recommend this ARF, maybe my thoughts will change if I can get it dialed in. Lastly after only 3 flights the covering needed to be reshrunk in numerous places. I did of course tighten the covering during initial assembly.
Thats my 2cts.
