Default RE: NEW COMBO

hey budget dude,

i have a toc yak with a mvvs 58. it is too heavy to 3d properly. i can fly most of the imac seq with some success. it is an awesome plane for just hooning about and no it doesnt need a canister. i have a modified slimline da 50 muffler on it and it isnt that loud. the 58 spins a 3w 24 x 10 wood prop at 6450rpms and is a totally sweet engine. the engine really needs to be in something a little bigger, my next project is a ca 31% extra. with a wingspan of 93 in and the same weight as a toc yak i feel this will be the plane for that engine.

the 8 horsepower bit is a bit rich. i would estimate 6.5 or around there.

if you are going to buy a toc yak. put a lightweight 50cc engine in it. ie under 3 pounds. it will be a really good aircraft.
