RE: 1.60 carb mod project
Scott,
One bit of warranted advice,
Use some castor in the fuel, especially with the Jett muffler installed, it will go lean on you in flight at least until you get the needles happy. The reason I own two is I broke-in one of them for a friend. He used Cool Power and had a least two lean runs. Scored the piston, ring and cylinder twice. Hobby services fixed it once. I bought it and fixed it the second time. The engine is safe and happy now in my GP GS Extra and has as much power as my first. No special fuel lines, exhaust tricks, glow plugs or pumps, just full scale type baffles to keep all airflow thru the cylinder and head fins.
I was just reading MA about heli carbs and mods. I look forward to hearing how you make out. How long before the first in flight tests begin?
