Default RE: Another Sweet Build thread (Venture 60)

Im not too worried about the fuel getting in there...

I mean, if its too bad, ill take some thin weather striping and put around the opening...but i dont really see it as too much to worry about...

I think the pipe faced down and the extender on it, it shouldnt bee too much of a problem. Never know though...Im good at tinkering to fix problems...it it arises, im sure i can take care of it...

In other news...I'll get started on the wing tonight when I get off work (i love my job, my boss just wants 8 hours out of me, and he doesnt care which 8, so i come in at 6:00AM to get off early, plenty of time to build) ... and ill get some pics...

I will probably be pointing out the differences between the 4* and the venture 60....so ill start now with a couple of things right off the back

The webs in the wing are single peices in the 4*s and are individual peices in the venture...no real pro-con other than eas of install, but no biggy
The ribs are almost twice as thick as the ones in the 4*, which i like..in the 4star is was thin ribs, then you overbuilt the rest of the wing to compensate, not a big fan of that...
The sheeting for the wings is all pre-cut (a little sanding, im sure) and are sweet...
The plans are rolled and not folded (BIG HUGE +++ there)

Thats it for now i guess....

Oh yeah, something that really impressed me. There is a bundle of sticks with a peice of paper around them saying "EPOXY MIXING STICKS courtesty of BRUCE THARPE ENTERPRISE" ... i know that they are just peices of scrap, but i think its really cool that he does that...says something about the man/company
