What with all the reflections and opinions you guys have lodged, I'm glad that I started this subject about the Globemaster. You've inspired me to get off my duff and restore the critter, especially now that I persuaded the previous owner to sell me the four OS Wankels which were originally mounted in the model. Unlike you multi-engine guys, I was an U.S. Army helicopter crew chief in Cent. & So. America 1955-57. I was even lucky enough to help the (pre-Russian) Nicaraguan Air Force with vibration problems they had with the P-51Ds they'd purchased from the Swedes.
