I own a Cessna 182 and the stock motor has plenty of power, especially if you use a lipo battery (flights last longer and overall weight drops noticeably).
Don't know where you are getting yours from, but I've heard some of the sources on E-bay use a 370 motor, instead of the 480 motor. Parkflyers.com offers the one with the more powerful motor. There is plenty of power, so I don't think you will be disappointed with the stock motor.

These guys ship out of San Fran, They seem to have the newest RX, 72Mhz, and the 480 Motor, and they are the least expensive I have found yet for a 4 channel. I jumped on it, I hope I made the right decision.
