Thanks D Bronk, for giving me the benefit of the doubt, and thanks to everyone who somehow tried to contribute something constructive to this thread, even the chemistry freaks. No, I didn't soak my engine's guts with Easy-Off, I only wanted to remove some hardcore gum and sprayed the engine's OUTSIDE. It was all removed in a matter of 3 or 4 minutes, so neither was the case "weakened" nor were any internal parts affected.
