Well here goes my $0.02 - I just completed my 1st foamy, the GP FlatOut Extra 300S. After reading everybody's postings, I felt like I wanted to share my experience. I had success by taping the rods in place and using a glue syringe to lay a fine bead of foam-safe CA on either side. Then, as PowerPlay had done, I used a Q-tip to quickly swab along the joint and the glue set fine. Then remove the tape and touch up the couple spots. Take a look at the results:
