RE: Why RTRs suck...
AE does a good job of keeping stuff domestic I think. Losi too, but their RTR's are made overseas. The components that go into their kits however are American.
Honestly, I prefer items that are mad within these borders. It gives the machinists out there good work, rather than sending that money elsewhere. All our stuff is made here in America, and I am proud to say that we don't charge much and our quality is top notch.
Answer me this, when you could have 2 cars, both RTR, both of the same make and model only one was produced in the United States and one in China, which one would you go for?
Now, again only this time throw out the factor of quality control (Which I detail in my Blog). Which worker would you rather send your money too? It's the same price, just within these borders. I think it's worth it to stick with American.
I am not telling you our opinion is wrong, and I do not mean to insult you in any way, I am just trying to clarify your stand on "Made In America" VS. "Made In China." Both of those statements carry equal weight and respect. Personally I feel that one of those tags is a bit more deserving of my hard earned dollar. I earned it here, if I have to get rid of it, might as well be giving it back to another American worker. Just my opinion, you are entitled to whatever you want to believe.
