Kaos... It's really not how close to the tanks it is but it does matter, But
the height of the tank in relation to the carb. Ideally you want the outlet
of the tank even with the carb., it matters a little less with the engine upright....
Even (atleast the 2 I've seen) a 1/2 inch or more above the carb could/will
make a difference... The fuel will siphon to the carb. and tend to flood real
easy, making for hard starts and a bad adjusted engine since you will try
to lean it more on the ground and it will get leaner in the air... Not Good!!
And if you do get it started and running ok on the ground.. Most likely it
will dead stick on you while doing 3D "low throttle) flying since the carb at
the low throttle position will almost always flood out....
The above problem is less apparent with the use of Saitos and YS's, But
the Mag's like the tk/carb height as close as possible. Hope this helps...
