The M11 is heavier than the M8, has more model memories, and so on. The "old" Spektrum M8 module will also not work with the M11--something to do with the pins. The Airtronics website should have more information.

Other transmitters that can use the Spektrum modules are listed on SpektrumRC.com Some include the M8/M11, Futaba T3PK, and Ko Propo Ex-10 Helios; however, there are more. Horizon/Spektrum also have their own DX3 which is basically a modified JR transmitter. Currently, Spektrum doesn't have real-time telemetry but is supposed to sometime down the road. As mentioned earlier, the Nomadio Sensor does have real-time telemetry now and won't need an optional module for real-time telemetry like the Spektrum module.

I suggest a visit to the LHS and hold each transmitter to see if you like the weight and balance; however, that is probably not possible with the Nomadio Sensor right now unless you know someone who has one already. Myself, I own the Nomadio Sensor, Futaba T3PK, and a couple of JRs including the XS3. I don't care much for the JR and prefer my T3PK over the M8/Ex-10 though I "want" more transceivers for my Nomadio Sensor since that is my "weapon" of choice for my 1/8th scale buggy.

Currently, my FG 1/5th scale sedan is set up with my T3PK since it has a brake mix--my FG has front and rear brakes. Nomadio is supposed to release a future download so the Sensor will have the same option, but it is my understanding it will not happen until the second generation transceiver is release which is supposedly awaiting government approval sometime around the end of this month.
