I removed the collar and I am going to look at it again tonight, but I'm almost positive it has the clip also.

No a few more questions from a first time electric guy.....How do you know which of the three yellow plugs from the engine go into the other three yellow female plugs from the ESC?

Also, How will I know if I have accidentally plugged my ESC into my receiver with the polarities reversed?
